New set of coins

A set of new Indian coins is displayed during the unveiling ceremony in New Delhi on July 8, 2011. Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee launched a new set of coins of denominations of 50 paisa, 1, 2, 5 and 10 Indian rupee coins.

New Commemorative Coins – India – 150 Years of Income Tax

The Finance Minister of India released a set of Two coins of Rs 150 and Rs 5 Denomination on 26 Feb 2011 to mark 150 Years of Income Tax Department.

This is the second coin in Rs 150 Denomination issued the earlier one was on Tagore. This coin is a 44mm circular coin which is 50 % Silver.  Its design bears  Portrait of Chanakya, Lotus and Honeybee.
